Hanoi named among most attractive destinations in the world
Although the tourism industry has been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hanoi is still ranked in the list of cities as the most attractive destinations in the world.
The world's largest travel website Trip Advisor ranks Hanoi at 2nd in the list of 25 most popular tourist destinations in Asia and 6th in the list of 25 most popular tourist destinations in the world.
Trip Advisor commented that Hanoi "is a charming capital with its Old Quarter, historical sites, French colonial architecture. But at the same time, modern architecture also gives this city a new breath and look."
Meanwhile, the online travel site Worldpackers (USA) rated Hanoi as the 'champion' of the 10 cheapest cities in the world for foreigners. The capital of Vietnam attracts tourists with its cultural and historical traditions in addition to its diverse street food.
Along with Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), Hanoi also entered the list of the 100 most wonderful tourist attractions in the world in 2021 voted by The Time.

The Deep Knowledge Analytics (DKA) ranked Hanoi in the list of 50 cities with the best pandemic response in the world. Hanoi stands at 44th place, out of a total of 72 tourist cities ranked by DKA, higher than Athens or Bucharest, Romania.
